“Everybody has talent, it’s just a matter of moving around until you’ve discovered what it is.”

George Lucas

My name is Alexander Krastev and for me art is both talent and passion discovered at the right moment. I was born in March 1984 in the town of Vratsa. I got to know the world of fine arts in my early years thanks to my art teacher. He saw my talent and encouraged me to develop it. At Andrey Nikolov School in my hometown I mastered the subtleties of art. I took part in a number of competitions and exhibitions. At the age of fourteen I already had my first one-man show.

In 2003 I continued my higher education at The Southwest University “Neofit Rilski” – Blagoevgrad. I substituted art for another career – kinesiotherapy. That helped me to study the human body and to perfect the drawing of people.

In 2008 I got my master degree in kinesiotherapy at the National Sports Academy in the city of Sofia. To this very day I am devoted to my profession.

Along with painting and kinesiotherapy I am an enthusiastic mountain-climber. Nature, with all its marvelous landscapes provokes me to seek beauty, perfection and balance.

In my life to date I have sought my vocation in various activities, but in none of those have I found inspiration except in fine art. Fortunately, my profession, my various hobbies and the people

in my life inspired me with confidence to reach out at a later stage quite consciously to the brushes and oils again.

Having accumulated experience, knowledge and skills, I fill my everyday life with colors. Painting, graphics, drawing from nature and abstract expressionism stand out the most in my works. The desire to create streams out from each of my paintings. Art for me is love, feeling, passion, experience, emotion, performed with an open heart and soul. I find in it emotional intensity and satisfaction.

I am happy that thanks to my works I have the opportunity to brighten people’s daily lives, to make them happy and to contribute to their comfort.

It is good to love many things, for therein lies strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done with love is well done”

Vincent van Gogh
